As we enter into the second full week of school, we are focusing on Habit 1: Be Proactive. Your students are learning to be proactive instead of reactive. Today, we talked about how being reactive is like shaking a bottle of soda: it explodes! Whereas being proactive is like shaking a bottle of water: it remains calm. A big part of being proactive is choosing your own "weather", or attitude. This week we will talk about what types of "weather" we should have, and what types we should try to avoid.
We will also look at our "Circle of Control" to see what things we are in control of and what we are not. I hope that you are able to practice these habits at home with your child.
